The GW Exotic Animal Park is accepting applications
for the following:
Large cat intern
Small animal intern
Large cat keeper level I
Small animal keeper level I & II
Animal dietitian
Gift shop
All positions include salary and room and board on the park.

Your work equipment is to be
cleaned and put away daily.
You will be given a list of
tools and supplies you will use daily.
You will be required to be at
work at 7:30 am
You will be required to be in
uniform at all times.
You will be required to go
through a training program before be allowed to handle or touch any
animal.
You will be in training for one
year.
You will conduct yourself in the
manner expected by this park.
Big Cat Internship
This is one the most dangerous
position of the park and we will not employee of take volunteers for
this area who can not follow rules and conduct themselves in the
highest manor of professionalism Possible.
Some of these cats have been taken
out of the worst of the worst environments possible. Just as PETA
would have you to believe this lion is dangerous, yes he is but what
they failed to tell the American public is he was shot with over 172
BB's by his previous owners.
In this area you will be in care
for over 165 big cats which requires a lot of time, skill and
patients. All of our cats are fed a strict diet made up by our vet
of fresh raw meat and the best dry vitamins you can buy.
All big cats are fed daily, in the
morning and are fasted one day per week. On the fasting day they
receive bones to chew on and enrichment for the big cats are changed
weekly.
NO ONE Is
allowed to enter a cage with any of the big cats. every cage is
equipped with a lock out area so there is never a reason for the
animal to be stressed or you put in danger.
While you are in training you are
NEVER to lock or unlock cages!
While cleaning the cage all rules
apply to how clean they are to be applies to every animal on this
park.
During the warm months of the year
in Oklahoma anytime it is over 75 degrees we change water for our
cats and bears 5 times during light hours one time after dark
under 75 degrees the water is
changed 3 times per day
You
will learn how to give them their natural enrichment
You
will be able to work with them most intelligent animals there
are
You
will be expected to make them feel as natural as we can
You
will see the real tragedy of what private ownership has done to
the animals we receive and why some of the animals we have will
never fully recover.
You will learn medical care and how to care for
the worlds most wonderful animals
