Capital One Card Lab Connect is a credit card program that donates rewards you earn for your everyday purchases to our organization. By participating in the program, you help us spread awareness and you show your support each time you use your card.
- Is the Capital One Card issued by Capital One or the organization I support?
Our organization's credit cards are issued by Capital One, N.A., and Capital One services your account. This means you have access to phone support, online account management, and all the other services Capital One provides their cardholders. We simply participate in the Capital One Card Lab Connect program.
- Does the organization I support play a role in the approval of my Capital One Card application?
No. Approval is solely based upon satisfying Capital One's credit card standards.
- If I apply for a Capital One Card, will the organization I support have access to my information?

- How do the rewards work for this card?
The rewards for this card are earned in a similar way to other cash back rewards cards. A percentage of every purchase you make is put into your rewards account and is donated to our organization quarterly. After you make your first purchase with your card, we will receive a $50 first purchase bonus contribution.
- When does the organization I support get the rewards I've earned on the Capital One Card?
Capital One will automatically transfer the cash rewards to our organization on a quarterly basis. Our quarters end on the following dates:
- First Quarter ends March 31st
- Second Quarter ends June 30th
- Third Quarter ends September 30th
- Fourth Quarter ends December 31st
- How will I know the amount I'm contributing to the organization I support?
If our relationship with the Capital One Card Lab Connect program ends and our card is no longer offered, Capital One will notify you and automatically convert your card to a Capital One No Hassle Cash Rewards card. In the event your final contribution to our organization is unable to be completed, Capital One will donate it to Network for Good.
- Can I redeem the Capital One Card Lab Connect cash rewards for myself instead?
Rewards are transferred at the end of each quarter. You are allowed to redeem your rewards if you do so before this transfer takes place by calling Capital One Rewards at 1-800-228-3001. If you do not use all of your rewards by the time of the transfer any remaining will be donated to our organization.
- Who pays the Capital One Card Lab Connect donation to my organization?
Capital One pays the donation to your organization, and they are structured as follows:
- 2% donation for your purchases at gas stations and major grocery stores
- 1% donation for your other purchases
It's important to mention that additional rewards may be paid when purchases are made at select merchants.
- Can I transfer balances from other credit cards to this Capital One Card?
Balance transfers to our Capital Card Lab Connect cards are allowed. However, no rewards will be earned on transferred balances.
- What if I currently have a Capital One credit card and I want to join a this program?
The Capital One Card Lab Connect program is for new individual card holders. We cannot convert your existing Capital One card to this Card Lab Connect card. If you want to carry our organization's card in addition to your current card, we invite you apply for it. If you don't want another credit card, but still want to make a donation, you can use your current Capital One credit card to donate to over 1.2 million charities, without paying any processing fees, at Capital One's No Hassle Giving Site.
- Can I support more than one organization with my Capital One Card?
Your Capital One Card Lab Connect credit card will only support one organization. If you would like to support another organization, you can apply for their card or you can use any other Capital One credit card to make a donation at Capital One's No Hassle Giving Site.
- What happens if the organization I support goes out of business?
If our relationship with the Capital One Card Lab Connect program ends and our card is no longer offered, Capital One will notify you and automatically convert your card to a Capital One No Hassle Cash Rewards card. In the event your final contribution to our organization is unable to be completed, Capital One will donate it to Network for Good.
- How do I apply for your organization's Capital One Card?
Applications for our organization's Capital One Card Lab Connect credit card can only be done online. To do so, go to our Capital One Card Lab Connect Web page, select your card design, and click Apply Now.
